I'm the lead photographer and founder behind Door 22.
If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I'm endlessly curious about people.
What motivates them. How they think. How they communicate. What they're building. The relationships that help businesses grow. And the small details that shape how someone experiences a company long before they've ever walked through the front door.
Over the years, I've realized I'm just as interested in understanding people as I am in photographing them.
That's why I've always loved this work. Every project gives me the opportunity to step into someone else's world, understand what matters to them, and help their audience better understand them, too.
Photography just happens to be where all of those interests come together.
My hope is that working together feels like more than simply checking photography off your list.
If I've done my job well, you'll leave with more than a gallery of photographs.
You'll leave knowing someone cared as deeply about understanding your business, your people, and what you're trying to build as you do.
And that belief became the heart behind Door 22.
The "22" carries an equally personal meaning.
For as long as I can remember, my lucky number has been 2.
My husband Kyle's has always been 20.
We were both born on the 20th, and our first home together was apartment #202, the first literal door we walked through as we began building our life together.
Together, those numbers became 22.
Today, Door 22 reminds me that the most meaningful things I've built have never been built alone.
That life and work are better when they’re built together.
They open possibilities we may never have reached on our own.
Every new chapter has been shaped by people who believed in me, challenged me, encouraged me, or simply showed up at exactly the right time.
That realization eventually became the foundation of Door 22, because I believe business works much the same way.
The best partnerships don't simply help us complete a project.
Growth has rarely happened alone.
Some doors led me across the world. Others introduced me to lifelong friendships. One unexpectedly led me to my husband. And others led me to opportunities I never could have planned for, including a career in photography.
Looking back, I realized something.
Every meaningful chapter of my life began because someone opened a door.
I believe the best working relationships usually start by getting to know one another, so here's a little more about me outside of the camera.
I live for deep conversations, whether they're about business, life, or somewhere in between. I'm endlessly fascinated by the winding paths that bring people to where they are today.
A few other things to know about me:
• I grew up in Southern California, but Texas has become home.
• I spent years singing, dancing, and acting, and somehow ended up even happier behind a camera than in front of an audience.
• I never turn down an opportunity to travel somewhere new.
• I love game nights, nature, watching trash TV with my husband, Harry Potter, and hot chocolate over coffee every single time.
• I firmly believe pineapple belongs on pizza. And yes, I will die on that hill.
• Christmas is my favorite holiday... and you better believe we decorate on Nov 1st in this house!
And I genuinely think life is far more magical than we sometimes give it credit for.
At the end of the day, whether we're talking about business, travel, or life, I simply love getting to know people. It's one of my favorite parts of what I do.
“No words could ever explain how incredible Stefani is to work with. She is enthusiastic, professional, and truly cares about her clients.”
Robin T.
“Absolutely amazing!! Fantastic communication throughout, quick turnaround on photos, and so much care and thought into the whole process.
I really can’t state how highly I recommend her enough. When it comes time for our next event, I know who I’ll be calling first!”
Kaelin D.
"From the moment we started working with Stefani, we knew we were in incredible hands.
Stefani has a gift. Her eye, her creativity, and her ability to make you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera is unmatched."
Amara R.
Whether you're planning a conference, refreshing your brand photography, documenting your team, or you're simply trying to figure out where to start, I'd love to hear what you're working on.
You don't need to have every detail figured out before reaching out.
In fact, many of my favorite projects started with a conversation.
If it sounds like we'd be a good fit, we'll build a plan together.
